Make a one time and/or automatic monthly donation to Bnai Shalom with any major credit card. If you prefer the donation be allocated to a specific fund please contact the office. Unless specified, all donations will be deposited into the General Operating fund.
Bnai Shalom members having moved outside the Lehigh Valley will retain burial privileges as long as they are current in their yearly dues of $355. Out of town membership does not include High Holiday Tickets.
Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) membership of $50 will appear as a separate line statement. Membership in this umbrella organization provides access to outstanding resources, support, and learning opportunities which can enrich and strengthen our congregation. The URJ fee was formerly known as MUM.
To provide security inside and outside of the building, a security surcharge will be implemented. The amount is $150 per family and $75 for single units. This will appear as a separate line item on your dues statement.
Families or individuals with financial concerns should contact the Dues Committee Your concerns will be reviewed with careful consideration and all such matters will be kept confidential. Bnai Shalom is an inclusive, welcoming congregation.
Dues may be paid in full, monthly or quarterly. Please include a note in the Paypal form to indicate when paying your invoice your choice of payments. Arrangements can be made.
Family with or without children = $1,655.00 + (Fees: $50.00 URJ and $150.00 Security) = Grand Total: $1,855.00
Single Adult/Head of Household with or without children = $915.00 + (Fees: $50.00 URJ and $75.00 Security) = Grand Total: $1,040.00
Associate Member/Social Member Maintains full membership in another Synagogue = $525.00 + (Contact bookkeeper office for Fees and for grand total due.)
Out of Town: Bnai Shalom member having moved outside the Lehigh Valley, Poconos or Western New Jersey = $355.00 + (Contact bookkeeper office for Fees and for grand total due.)
We accept credit cards and PayPal, but would prefer checks as fees are incurred with these payments. If you use credit card or PayPal, please consider adding an additional 3% to cover these fees.
All dues obligations (previous years and current) must be satisfied and paid before any life cycle event (e.g. baby naming, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, funerals) may take place. Hardships will be considered on a case by case basis. Please contact the Dues Committee to discuss any concerns.
