PESACH MEALS VOLUNTEERS 1
PESACH MEAL VOLUNTEERS 2
VOLUNTEERS RECOGNIZED FOR PREPARING PASSOVER MEALS

The pandemic not withstanding, our congregants joined Rabbi Melody and her family to cook Passover meals for members of our community. After consulting with Dr. Stan Walker of our Covid Preparedness Committee, a safe, controlled environment was created including masks, gloves, social distance, etc.

Many thanks to those who came in to cook - Nancy Ebert, Lauren Glick, Sheldon Himber, Jim Mueth, Andy Novick, Patti Price, Vickie Semmel, Anita Solow and those who delivered the meals - Lothar Gumberich, Sheldon Himber, Vickie Semmel and Ellis Weitzman and to those generous folks who graciously provided the wherewithal to cover the cost of the food.

Donna Stametz – our in house caterer was invaluable in koshering the kitchen and finding our pesachtic implements. Naturally, she joined in the fun.

Kudos to Rabbi’s family who schlepped around New Jersey for an entire day to shop for the endeavor!

Left: Some of our goodies: Cranberry relish, Ashkenaz and Sephardic charoset, beet salad, gefilte fish, carrot salad and pistachio-almond cookies. Brisket, mashed potatoes and chicken soup were on the menu – of course!
